" Born of Water " is the title for this piece recently finished. It makes suggestions as to human beings' relationship to water and gives a whimsical nod to the historical myths surrounding water and its resident creatures. How many faces can you find ?
The fifth floor corridor at the St Joseph Oakland Mercy Hospital in Pontiac, Michigan houses the 3 pieces below. They are "re-dos" of previously completed pieces which were either sold or too small for the needs of the hospital. I am so pleased that these pieces are part of the healing environment in the newly built patient tower.

Here is a piece I did of my mother for a local portraiture exhibit. My desire was to explore the transitions we all go through in life. We take a bit of ourselves with us through each transition but also become someone entirely new, because of added experiences, learning, joys, sorrows, etc. Throughout this process we look to our future selves and back to what we have been.
